About Me
Hello, thank you for being here! My name is Paola, and I love eating, cooking, and baking. I’m Colombian, from a small town in the middle of the mountains called Soatá. I enjoy running marathons, doing 2,000-piece puzzles, writing, listening to Cuban boleros, and watching the sunrise over the sea or the mountains. I appreciate the simple but intense things in life, just like my desserts. I love dogs, waking up early, reading, trying new foods, and visiting hidden places.
Why I Started
I started baking my children’s cakes from their early years, and that’s how I discovered how much I enjoyed it. I’m self-taught! Every recipe I saw, I tried, and that’s how 20 years went by without purchasing a single cake. Now that my kids are grown, I’ve decided to return to my hobby. In my work, I like ensuring that everyone enjoys something made with care and that it’s accessible to everyone. Little by little, I’m trying new things, and I’ve fallen in love with making sourdough bread. The whole process fascinates me, and it’s what I’ve been enjoying the most lately.
